Are you a country mouse or a city mouse? Whether we are from a city school or a country school we always seem to think the other has it easier. Truthfully though, we each have some of the same challenges and rewards in serving students healthy meals. The 2008 Annual Conference will provide an opportunity to share these ideas and help each simplify our jobs.
Come and experience the city life with a Putting on the Ritz Mystery Dinner and the country life with a Down Home Supper, Barn Dance and Auction.
Explore the quaint town of Moline nestled amongst the banks of the mighty Mississippi River as you set off on an adventurous scavenger hunt and see how many steps you can add up on your pedometer.
Fred Schafer, the Fit Food Dude, and Orion Samuelson, the agricultural specialist are just a few of the guest speakers planned for the conference. Breakout sessions to cover a wide variety of topics will provide you with beneficial information to take back and implement within your school district.
The Radisson Hotel will provide accommodations to impress the big city dweller while the rustic Stoney Creek Inn will be comforting to all those country folk.
