General Mills Teams Up with National Dairy Council To Improve Children's Health with Child Nutrition and Fitness Initiative Breakfast Grants - Deadline August 15, 2010

These grants are designed to:

•Increase student participation by serving breakfast outside the cafeteria in creative ways.
•Assist schools to start a new breakfast program or improve an existing one.
•Provide up to $3000 in funding to schools currently participating in the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program that will help improve student access to high-quality, nutritious foods through the school breakfast program.

To be eligible for the Breakfast Grant, schools must also:

► Have support from their school principal, district school nutrition director and school nutrition manager
► Have school enrollment of at least 500
► Demonstrate an opportunity to raise their breakfast participation.
